The OSDA DD Council grant project is working with Galla and Jackson County Boards of DD to increase and improve support to self advocacy in their counties. To kick off the project a focus group is scheduled for February 7, 2018 from 4:00pm to 5:30.

The project includes leadership training for people with disabilities, which will be held at Deer Creek State Park just south of Columbus March 19 – 21, 2018.

If your organizations have connections with anyone living in the area of Jackson or Gallia, please share this flyer with them.

We hope to have the project result in the existence of a broad based advocacy group with connections to business and community leaders as well as a strong local Project STIR training team. The intent of the project is to leave in place support systems for people with disabilities to gain the skills to speak up for themselves and develop many new connections!
